TITLE OF THE KHUTBA: BLESSINGS OF ISLAM
Thank be to Noble God, Creator of the Earth, the Heavens and everything around us, thank be to God the one and the only on His infinite blessings, which he offers. May His peace and blessing be upon His prophet Muhammed a.s., upon Muhammed's family, upon Muhammed's friends and upon all of those, who carry Islam in their hearts.
The subject of todays khutba (sermon) is about God's blessings, which He had destineted, which He sends over and over again and which people take advantage.
The belief of many interpreters of the Qur'an is that the last verse, which was published, was on the forgiven pilgrimage in the holy city of Makkah (the forgiven Hajj):
»This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.« (Al-Ma`ida 3)
What is our answer, when we hear such words? What should we say on that?
Muhammed a.s. left us many prayers (duas), many different ceremonies (ibaadats), words, which he every day pronounced (zikr) and told us to pronounce every day:
«Raditu bi-llahi Rabben ve bi-l islami dinen ve bi Muhammedin nebijen».
Translation : »I am pleased with God (Allah) being my lord, with Islam being my religion and with Muhammed being my prophet.«
See this is the beauty of Islam, which is unexaminated and constant, she shines with all of her shine, for all of times, for every place and for all people. Her shine doesn't have any obstacles no national, no racial, no class and no ideological. Because she is universal and because she is in majority and because she is from God, Lord of the Worlds.
When we talk about beauty in islam, about universal human beuties, about the beauty in peace, consequently we find in the Qur'an in many verses, when Allah says: »But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a way that is straight.« (Junus 25)
In the next vers God says: »Don't destroy the order on earth … when order and peace have rulled on it.«
Lets take this example, when God speaks about the beauty in freedom: »And pray to Allah and don't think he has equals!«
In simple language: it is commanded that we are only God's slaves, because if we are sincere God's slaves, we won't be no-man's slaves, we won't be slaves to human needs and passions, we won't be slaves to human delusions nor ideologies and human forejudgements. You will be free in your soules, in your hearts and that will be in God's limits or His laws, which protect us so we don't fall in trubles and with that endanger other people.
Forward, when we talk about beauty in justice and equity, we find in the Qur'an: »Allah demands that every right is respected, to do good and to share with nearbies, but disorder and all what is disgusting and violence must be forbidden; He advises you so you can accept the lesson.«
All of the universal human characteristics, which we know, are mentioned in the Qur'an.
History is the witness that all the people, those from south, those from north, those from west and those from east, when they discovered the beauty of Islam in all of its forms, they accepted Islam and confirmed it as the only right path.
»LA ILAHE ILLE-L-LAH MUHMMED-E-RESULULAH«
But today people, who look at Islam through the prism of media, will look on Islam like it is a religion of extremism, fundamentalism, fanaticism, terrorism and so in them will develop fear, disrespect and hate, with which they won't see that real beauty od Islam. On the TV every day you hear, how they mark us as »fundamentalists, extremists, islamic militarists, islamic protestors« and every day more with »islamic terrorists«.
All of this isn't withouth reason!
The power of Islam isn't in thier countries, in their economy nor in their armies. There is no problem in western imperialism and hegemony. But this isn't what disturbs them. What in reality disturbs them? What is their problem? Their problem is in Islam as a religion, as an idea which educates almost 2 milliard people to stay what they are – MUSLIMS – commited to Allah. From this reason it is a duty for every muslim to promote Islam in the best light and beauty, whereever they are and in every time, every place, with your own words, with your own methods, with your deeds, your ethics and with your beautiful behaviour, and let them name us like they want.
The beauty of Islam spreads everywhere, on all sides. The beauty of Islam is the present time and the future, she doesn't have the alternative for humanity. Again from a different view, every muslim is bound to be critical and if it is possible to prevent every kind of violence, vandalism and everything, what Islam forbids irrespective of who is the executor of violence. The laws of Islam are clear.
In hadith (kudsi) Allah says:
»O My slaves, I have forbidden violence to myself and I have commanded to you that violence is forbidden and don't perform violence among yourself.«
This is the mission of Islam and this is a clear idea of Islam and so recommend to your neighbours, Christians, those on north, those on south, those on east and those on west that they mustn't accuse Islam and muslims, because as long as Islam exists on these places, Peace will be, tolerance will be, life will be, mosques, churches and sinagogs will stay.
We wish friendship, love and peace on these places. If any crime is commited and if any violence is commited the culprit has his name and so leave Islam and muslims out of it – they are clean.
I beg God to give us peace and mutual normal relationships on these places and may God's peace and blessing rule upon all. May Allah protect us from the cursed satan and every evil, may He forgive our sins and may He lead us on the right path – the only God's path. Ameen!
