ERRORS IN GRAMMAR SCHOOL'S TEXTBOOKS (part 1)
In this chapter I'm going to show you the errors, which I discovered in a textbook for history. (Chapter: »Arabs and Islam«; Book: HISTORY 1, authors: Vilma Brodnik, Robert A. Jernejcic, Zoran Radonjic and Thasa Urankar Dornik; DZS d.d.; year of edition 2003. The author of the chapter is mr. Radonjic). All the errors are marked with an olive color.
The chapter is well described and has a lot of pictures but some of the informations are wrong and the reader could get a false impression about islam and the history of the faith…
1. ERROR: The chapter starts like this:
»Alahu Ahbar. La ilaha illa Alah Muhamadun Rasulu Alah.« - »Allah is the greatest! There is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his prophet!« This declaration of faith is one of the first »five pillars« of islam, which appeared in the 7.cent. in Arabia…
RIGHT WAY: It shows us an example of an author that doesn't have the slightest idea of arabic and islam! I will put an argument:
The islamic God has two »L« in his name, becuse of the teshdeed (double letters). The second disturbing thing is the word he used »Ahbar«. I really want to know, how he could have been able to translate this word in the Greatest! The word should be »Akbar« or »Ekber«.
I would also like to know, where this mister found the mentioned declaration, becuase it goes like this: »Ashadu an la ilaha illa Allah. Ashadu anna Muhammad ar-Rasulullah.«
And the prophet's name is Muhammed not Mohamed!
2. ERROR: it is mentioned two times on page 220:
…/It was first of all a religion, which was establish by Mohamed./…/About Mohamed, the founder/…
RIGHT WAY: I think this chapter was written by an atheist so we are talking about an atheistic view on islam. We could say that he was the founder but not literally, bacause he didn't invent the religion. If we look what it says in Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary: Founder – a person who starts an organization, institution etc. This definition is not compatible with the prophet's properties. Muhammed was an illiterate and by that fact he couldn't have developed, invented a religion that would have scientific examples in the Qur'an.
3. ERROR:
…His biographies, in which historic facts mix with legends, were made…
RIGHT WAY: I'm interested, where could someone find legends about Muhammed's life, because for all the events were witnessed and there are also logical evidence!
4. ERROR:
…On his travels he acquainted himself with the teachings of Jews and Christians…
RIGHT WAY: One more unreliable information. With the word »acquainted« the author gives his reading public an impression that Muhammed knew very well the teachings of Christianity and Jewry. Muhammed's knowledge of the two faiths was equal to zero.
5. ERROR:
…We don't know what in fact happened but Muhammed was later on convinced that he was select by God as a prophet…
RIGHT WAY: Incredibility the author misses with the sentance by a mile! I can not believe, how this sentance was made so the reader should get the impression that Muhammed was not the prophet! Is it not logical that the reader should judge for himself? Interesting becomes, when a person reads the chapters, which talk about Jesus. There aro no »should have« or »we don't know«. His sentance could be translated as Muhammed himself claimed he was a prophet. When Muhammed got his first message from God, he went with his wife Hatidja to a christian priest. The priest confirmed that this is a sign for Muhammed being a prophet. So it is well-known what happened.
6. ERROR:
…the main historical event (in islam), which they named hedjra…
RIGHT WAY: Hijra!!!
7. ERROR: lie about the Qur'an…
…it consists of the first chapter, which is a entirety of itself, and further 114 chapters (surah)…
RIGHT WAY: I beg your pardon??? How??? What??? Where did he get that from? Here is shown the author's incapability! I think that he was so lazy he didn't even look in the Qur'an! From the text above we can easily calculate 1+114 chapters is 115!!! Incredibility! The Qur'an consists of 114 chapters!!! Therefore the right sentance would be: …of the first chapter and further 113 surah…
8. ERROR:
…The Woman stayed inferior to men…
RIGHT WAY: it is interesting to look at the examples he gave: »(the man could forbid his wife to go out of the house, the wife needed the man's permission to divorce)«
The author has to take some lessons in fiqh! Islam talks about equality of rights ( do you imagine in 7th cent.!!!), but the men are one step upon the women, because they have to work for the family (earn money)!
9. ERROR: the topical subject JIHAD, what a worthless explanation!
…An important duty of a muslim, which is a regulations of the Qur'an, is the fight against the unbelieving or the enemies, who prevent the spreading of islam - jihad /…/ to go in a fantastic, successful and violently subjection war…
RIGHT WAY: Author wasn't acquainted with the meaning of the word jihad! The word jihad presents a fight, but only in defence! Qur'an: »Fight in the way of God against those, who fight against you.« He obviously played truant, when they talked about jihad. We know several different jihads. We can also talk about »the jihad of speech«, when a muslim defends his religion with arguments, facts etc. SO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A DEFENSIVE FIGHT! It is interesting how Christian historians don't want to admit the fact that islam was not spread by sword!!!
10. ERROR: battle that never happened
…on the west the Franks beated the arabic army at Tours and Poitiers in France (year 732) and so…
RIGHT WAY: THERE WAS NO BATTLE!!! They invented it! Isnam Taljic one of the best bosnian writers says that in his researches he didn't even one time run into this information! He confirmed this in his novel: »The Secret Book of Andalus«, where he clearly says that there was no battle. When I talked to him, he said, the muslims broke all the way to Paris and then found out the barbaric of the people and on the next morning they returned back to Spain, because of the shame. From that day on they never crossed the frontier of Spain and France.
What else are the christian historians going to invent for the satisfaction of their needs, wishes and subjective forejudgements? Let us be objective, talk only the truth and don't take false informations for correct! Errors can be found in every book except in the Qur'an! It is the only book, where you can not find a single suspicious information. It doesn't mather, if they are magazines or books, which are necessary for education (they still have errors)! As the dead shaykh Ahmed Deedat once said: »You are what you read!« For this reason be careful and don't read untrue books, because you can become one of the lairs.
